When Jews shear their sheep for wool they are supposed to give the first wool to the cohen (for all you sheep shearers out there). We went to a festival celebrating this mitzva in Ma'ale Levona. Here's a newly shorn sheep.
Here I am enjoying myself in the pinat chai (where we spent most of our time in the festival).
This little gerbil was so soft (not much to shear here).
Still in the pinat chai (maybe we should have left the pinat chai when there was still food to eat for supper).
