Surprise Visit

On the way home from our tiyul in the Golan we visited Dod Rafi and Doda Alicia and the girls. They all agreed I was cute!

My first Tiyul

In Israel during vacation everyone heads out for a tiyul, one of the best places to go is the Golan. For my first tiyul nothing but the best would do. First we spent shabbat in a tzimmer (vacation cottage) in Moshav Nov. Then on Sunday we started with a picnic in the entrance to Tel Dan. Matza with butter and jam for Ima and Abba, milk for me, I don't see what all the fuss about Pesach food is!

Then we started our hike along the riverbeds and checked out some ruins from the times of Yerovam, the first king of the breakaway kingdom of Israel and from the times of the Avot. A tiyul in Israel is always more than just a pretty walk.
But I was more interested in other things than the ancient history.

Pesach in KBY

For my first seder I slept from Kiddush until Motzi Matza (I think Ima was very grateful). It was fun spending time with the mishpacha.

Happy Pesach Everyone

I'm so excited for Pesach, my first of the Shelosh Regalim in Eretz Yisrael. In honor of the occasion my Ima put on this new dress (dress courtesy of Cousins Joey and Michelle) and I liked it so much I smiled.

Happy and Kosher Pesach everyone!

Learning to smile

Now that I've learned to smile my parents do funny things to try and cause a smile.
To catch one on film however is easier said than done!

Purim

Purim was my first real holiday (Tu B'shvat was much less exciting). I dressed up (just long enough for a picture), heard the first seven perakim of megilla, delivered mishloach manot with Abba, and went to a seuda with Ima and Abba. On Shushan Purim I got together with the extended Maizels mishpacha at Doda Yael and Dod Ariel's house. I can't wait till Purim next year!

Awake as well

I wouldn't want you to think that I sleep all day long, I have plenty of awake time (more and more as time goes on). Here are some pictures of me happily awake.

Special guests

Soon after I was born special guests came from across the ocean for a visit and spent three weeks with me. Thank you Savti and Saba for making the trip. Hope to see you again soon.

Sleeping Beauty

Everyone always asks my Ima and Abba, "So does she let you sleep?" These pictures prove it, I do sleep, and sometimes even let my parents sleep too!

Celebrate!

Soon after I was born, Ima and Abba made a Melave Malka party to thank Hashem for me!

Lots of friends and family came and I had a great sleep. Thanks for all those presents!

I was born

Welcome to my blog, a site where you can see pictures (and sometimes my parents too) and get updates about me Hodaya Chana Maizels. Now I'm nearly two months old, but Ima and Abba wanted to start this blog with the beginning, my birth. I was born on the 8th of Shvat otherwise known as the sixth of February. Here are two pictures. One is from the day I was born, a happy Abba finally holding his daughter with a grin in the background from a tired Ima. The second is on the day Ima and I went home.
